Take a look at the clip at the end of this leash. Take a real good look and make your
brain remember this permanently. DO NOT USE A LEASH WITH A CLIP LIKE THIS! Divers
call it a “suicide clip” because the springs are sensitive to small amounts of pressure,
which allows the clip to either clip onto something it shouldn’t OR just plain come undone
from the collar it’s attached to = loose doggie!
One time a client of mine took a beagle outside on leash (we were practicing walking),
and within a matter of one second, the dog had twisted a certain way and ran into the
bushes on safari. Harley was his name, incidentally. Divers shouldn’t use suicide clips and
neither should you.
This is the kind of clip you want to look for.
